Event Details

Climb aboard a vintage military truck and enjoy exclusive wine tastings at family-owned farms Zevenwacht, Kaapzicht, and Mooiplaas. This guided off-road adventure is a new offering on the menu and the ideal way to explore - sit back, relax and soak in nature.  Includes a wine tasting, charcuterie platter, chocolate/biltong pairing, and unforgettable views.

Explore a flight of six wines and a cheese platter at the popular Kaapzicht Wine Estate.  The name  Kaapzicht means ‘Cape view’ and is attributed to the beautiful views of Table Mountain. The Steytler family has farmed the land since 1946. Located on the Bottelary hill, the farm experiences a mild climate with cool sea breezes and consists of old, weathered granite soils – perfect for crafting wines with a sense of belonging, at once familiar and extraordinary.

Experience a sense of place at Mooiplaas, where you will taste four distinct wines from the Roos Family Range - Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon served with olives and crackers.  Mooiplaas Wine Estate & Private Nature Reserve has been in the Roos family since 1963.  As the first WWF Conservation Champion in the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy, the farm uses an environmentally friendly and biodiversity approach to viticulture. One of the most striking features of Mooiplaas is the uneven terrain, from the meadows on the valley floor to the watershed on top of the hills. These topographical contrasts result in interesting differences in the microclimate.  Situated in the Bottelary Hills of Stellenbosch, there is a difference of approximately 235 meters between the highest and the lowest areas on the estate. From the highest point of the estate (370 meters above sea level) you can soak in the Cape Peninsula, False Bay and Table Bay.

The final stop is Zevenwacht Wine Estate.   With its picturesque setting, historic Manor House and rural atmosphere, Zevenwacht exemplifies the abundant delights which await visitors to the Estate.  The farm has officially been recognised as a WWF Conservation Champion, joining a group of environmentally responsible wine farms committed to sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation. Savour the pleasure of sampling four Estate wines on their home ground, within sight of the cellar in which they were produced and matured – carefully paired with four different types of biltong and droeëwors.

Shorter 4x4 tasting options are also available exclusively on Zevenwacht.
